Sharad is also popularly known for his role as Charlie Chaplin. He has played the role of Charlie in more than 25 films. He made his debut in the film industry with the role of Charlie Chaplin in the Bengali film ‘Durgesh’ in 1983.

Abdul is a character who runs a shop outside the Gokuldham society where all the men of the society gather to drink soda in the show.
