Aishwarya Sushmita is an Indian actress, singer, model, belly dancer, and national-level badminton player who rose to fame after winning the modelling reality TV show NDTV Good Times Kingfisher Supermodels 3 (2016).

She grew up in Darbhanga, Bihar.

Aishwarya was a tomboy in her teens.
In her school days, Aishwarya wanted to become an IAS officer, and therefore, decided to pursue her graduation and masters in philosophy.
While in college, she was a national-level badminton player.
In 2015, she took part in the Campus Princess contest, a beauty pageant that scouts for potential beauty queens, and got selected from her college. She then competed with other contestants (winners from different colleges in Delhi) from the Delhi region and then moved to Mumbai for the final round. In Mumbai, Aishwarya received training of 7 days for the contest and made it to the Top 6 in the final round before she got eliminated from the pageant.
After her family observed her talent, they encouraged Aishwarya to pursue a career in modelling.
In 2016, Sushmita took part in the Miss North India beauty pageant and was crowned Miss Congeniality in the contest.

Subsequently, she joined a Delhi-based modelling agency and featured in a few print advertisements.
She won the NDTV Good Times Kingfisher Supermodels 3 in 2016 and was shortlisted for the Kingfisher Calendar shoot with four other girls in Seychelles.

I was born in 1994. My parents were really inspired by them as they were crowned Miss World and Miss Universe in the same year. They were confused about whether to call me Aishwarya or Sushmita. In their confusion, they decided it’s perfectly fine if they use both names.”
