Bala got the breakthrough of his career after being casted in the Tamil-language legal drama film “Jai Bhim.” Jai Bhim is basically a slogan or greeting used by followers of the Indian scholar and social reformer Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar. The film is based on a 1993 true incident that involved a legal case fought by Justice K. Chandru on behalf of Senggeni, a member of the Irular tribe community, seeking justice for her husband, Rajakannu, who went missing from the police station.
